Our Perspective


You have a story to tell. Now let’s find the visuals to communicate it. A Brand Identity is more than a logo, it is a multifaceted visual expression that your customer experiences on your website, in your store, walking past your advertisement on their walk home. To us, brand-building is part engineering, part poetry.







Our Process


01

Strategy Workshop


Our process begins with a guided two-hour workshop with your core team. In this meeting, we use a series of prompts to develop a narrative for your brand. Story is a powerful way to organize information and we find that it not only sets a strong foundation for any visual work we do after, but also helps rally the team around around a common, defined purpose.

Brand Mood + Naming


To ease the awkward transition from words to pictures, we put together a moodboard to review with your team to spark discussion and set us on the right path. If your project includes naming, we include that scope at this time.

Brand Directions


We kick off our Visual Identity process with the presentation of two high-level brand directions. Each direction is typically 5-6 pages and will showcase distinct logo, type pairings, color palette, and spec artwork as required.

Brand Development


With one brand direction selected, we dive headfirst into exploring visual possibilities across all aspects of the brand including Identity (logo, wordmark, symbol), typography system, color palette, graphics, patterns, layout, art direction, and illustration (as needed).

Brand Refinement


True to its name, this phase focuses on the refinement of all elements of the brand. This could mean meticulously adjusting the logo or making sure that shade of blue is just right.

Brand Guidelines


Feedback from Brand Refinement leads us to distill the brand to its final state and define all elements. Our Brand Guidelines document outlines the usage of each element as well as how they work together as a system through detailed guidelines and applied examples (mockups).
